MIDI Sequence player - Halion Flexphraser alternative - and MIDI File collections

My fingers aren´t fluid, I like it to get inspired and mainly want to test sounds with sequences like with Halions Flexphraser, so I´m looking for an other time saver - a MIDI sequence player VST.

The selection of sequences in Flexphraser is quiet limited. You can´t edit a part of it, you can´t generate complex chord sequences on your own, can´t see the notes played and I can imagine more comfortable solutions with a keyroll, a bigger screen, MIDI export and so on.

It´d be great to have an expandable solution and many styles on possibilities. A "pro tool" and no arpeggiator. Focus on piano / keyboard phrases. Not classical. Let´s say mainly genres Pop, R&B, Soul - maybe also Latin and what ever sounds warm and lively. Needs no internal sound generator.

Alternetively I´m also open for collections of MIDI sequences that unfortunately usually lack explanations and demonstrations

So much for now - maybe someone can recommend his personal favourite(s)?

You probably know this, but you can bounce the flexphrase parts to the sequencer as midi. Pretty sure you can import midi parts into it too but it's been a while so I'm not 100% sure.
I know in Cubase you can definitely bring Midi parts into the Chord track and fire off melodies based your Midi clip and whatever Chord set you choose.

Have you tried BlueARP? It's a very powerful arpegiator, free too. Lots of ways there to fine tune some very detailed arpeggios.

You´re right As Halion is my home planet I know for sure that you can generally export sequences - but that does unfortunately not work with Steinbergs content. But yes - import and export wok fine.

And thanks for the Chord track suggestion, I didn´t know that yet. I´ll definitely check it out - but for now I´m looking for more than just selfmade sequences / arpeggios.

I don´t know BlueArp, but I use scaler already. It can play performances/sequences, it´s pretty nice - but stylistically not what I need at the moment. Mainly accompaniment sequences, probably focussed on guitarists. And arpeggios, too - but as I develop sampler instruments those sequencer lines are too simple.
