Hello Sound-Designers!
I wonder if anyone could help me to find out the Matrix 12 settings to create that sound Michael Brecker played with his EWI on "In a sentimental mood" from the Steps Ahead album "Magnetic".
I use the Arturia Matrix 12 V2.

I know that album, very nice solo. With the EWI he took synths to the level where how you play the notes matters more than what patch is dialled in.
Most important is to route breath intensity controller messages to modulate the filter cutoff frequency.
NB: I always thought his EWI was connected to a DX7

I think it was a Matrix or maybe an Expander but pretty sure an Oberheim.

Yes I know its an old thread but I've always wanted to be able to reproduce that sound, so I would also like very much to know a preset/vsti that can reproduce that inmensely gorgeus and expressive sound.
