+1

i contacted plasmonic
i contacted arturia

out of curiosity:
what to do with old, vintage hardware synths ?

thinking of minimoog, ms20, jx8p, polysix, prophet5...

or "neewer" EOL hardware synths that aren't supported anymore
dsi mopho mophoX4 evolver....

I think the Suite version comes with a MIDI+pitch-bend converter. You'll be limited to monophonic playing on classic synths that only accept pitch-bend on one channel.

There's different answers for each synth, some you can only retune via monophonic pitchbend, some you can retune via CV and Silent Way and some your can set up multitimbrally and use per channel pitch bends. It takes a bit of experimentation to find the best approach for each, but it's also amazing how many of them you can get tuned once you start using the MIDI Client in earnest. When you've got a setting that works, save it as a preset.

Its a great idea.
I like the ability to tune notes in real time. Browsing the tables is irksome though i find myself wanting to step through them.

Yes, we've thought about this and will hopefully finesse browsing in the future. The best way for now is by loading folders of tunings and clicking through them, or you can assign a CC to the list and browse through it using a knob (see the MIDI menu in the top right of the Scale List box).

Looks promising ODDSound - good luck with its further development :tu:

I don’t know. To me this sounds like “where can I find some nice chords?”

Then obviously you’re a microtuning king that can help a microtuning newbie out?

No, only the Suite can load folders of tunings, the Mini you have to pick a specific file (or files in the case of scl/kbm).

The Scala archive posted previously is the biggest collection of tunings available. It's pretty daunting for most newbies though because it's huge (about 4000 files IIRC) and uncategorised : http://www.huygens-fokker.org/scala/dow ... tml#scales

Leimma is more curated, structured and you can audition/author scales : https://isartum.net/leimma

Scalavista is somewhere in between the previous two : https://hpi.zentral.zone/scalavista . It's a database and app for the Scala archive, can be useful to have a bit more meta-info on scales.

I can't vouch for the accuracy of any of these, I've seen major errors in all of them. There are attempts underway to create a more curated database of tunings.
