Seems like kind of a weird time to do it, with all the recent talk of a copy protection change (no dongle).

Upgrade sale is only for upgrading to Cubase Pro.

Maybe they wanted to get rid of all those dongles?
Well, I was waiting for this upgrade, for about one day :hihi:
After selling other DAWs I have, I had email with the discount the second day! I immediately upgraded from Artist to Pro. Well, it worth it 100%.
With or without "a dongle" I can live .... :violin: ... as the song said :D)
Cubase Pro 11, Bitwig 16, NI, Arturia, u-he, Synapse Audio, Kilohearts, Korg, Sugar Bytes, PA, Softube and others.
Ryzen 5800x with Win10, MODX 6, AudioBox iTwo, KeyLab MK II, ATOM, DT 990 Pro and HS7 monitors.

They're doing it every year. Nothing weird about it.
I'm waiting for the 40% Update Promo later this year to update to C11 :)
Beware! The software discussed in this topic has unacceptable aliasing at -386dBTP but it can be fixed by changing the sample rate to 12Bit

Upgrade sale every year - yes.

Announce they're doing away with the dongle for a new CP system every year - no.

I'm waiting to see where they're going with this.
