Zebra2 is super cool for what it does. But when you need a supersaw or anything super modern, go Hive2. .

SIKE! I made that in Serum. Funnily though, I thought yours sounded pretty old school too, and you can hear it in my trying to copy it.

It's a 2015 song. But I checked, this discussion dates back from 2018 actually.

I took the first good sounding supersaw in Avenger that reminded me of that one and played this melody for the demo. Never tried to copy it.

Confirmation bias, man. If you believe that Zebra is dated, and you think you are hearing an example from Zebra, you will perceive it as dated.

No, simply NO. You made a patch that sounds like eurodance sounds. Period. That is exactly what I answered.
Make it with Zebra, Avenger, Rapid or whatever you want. If you make a cheap sounding supersaw, it sounds cheap, no bias here.

BTW Serum can produce awesome supersaws.

Some synths can, some other can't. Serum can.

Yours is 400% stronger for sure, but I couldn't help thinking about those kind of sounds hearing it because of its lack of octaves stacking (from 1'16).

I’m not into trance personally, but EDM is a weird market. In 2013, my label told me : ”your track sounds too 2012. Make it sound 2013”.
It’s evolving very, very fast.
