I just wanted to refute the statement that zebra can't do supersaws , which imho it most def. can
Fwiw , I don't care about supersaws at all and never understood the hype why people get so obsessed about it .
They were novel and already overused in 1996-97

Well actually, the exact deal was : can't do supersaws as good as other synths (such Avenger) can do.gentleclockdivider wrote: Fri Apr 16, 2021 4:31 pm I just wanted to refute the statement that zebra can't do supersaws , which imho it most def.
So far, still unproved.
But I still say Zebra2 excells in its own domain.

I was making a point that other synths do that specific job a lot better than Zebra, and in some cases I doubt it's even possible, been a while since I used it I cant remember all thats in it.imrae wrote: Fri Apr 16, 2021 9:22 amNobody here is saying that Zebra 2 is for beginners. Tutorials are aimed at beginners. Intermediate producers should easily be able to take the relevant info from a Sylenth/Serum patch tutorial and apply it to Zebra.LeVzi wrote: Fri Apr 16, 2021 8:45 am Let me wade through this plethora of tutorials on how to make a hardstyle kick and lead in Zebra , or let me chop my way through the forest of tutorials on screech creation in Zebra.
No wait, they don't exist because there are synths that are far better for things like this. Sylenth, Serum are the main 2.

BS, its called opinions, no one is trolling from what I can see, and people have their own opinions.carrieres wrote: Fri Apr 16, 2021 9:27 am the majority of user complaints is just trolling with pedantic diatribe !
more than 10 page of useless comments and aggressive post toward a dev
what a waste of time !
i would have lock this thread some days ago if I were a mod
I've got nothing against Zebra2 as a synth, but it would be at the bottom of my list of synths to buy for the genres I am part of, as others in it would testify. And I never said it can't do anything, it's just suited to other things.
Which is why its nice to have a large selection of VST's to choose from so that certain jobs can be done quickly and easily.
There is no such thing as a synth that can do it all and do it all easily. It simply doesn't exist (yet)

not saying zebra can do it or not...
do you have an example of a solo "screech"? im actually quite interested in hearing it from the name
i may not make the same genre as you, but i do enjoy "uncomfortable" sounds

I doubt there is much that zebra can't do that Sylenth1 can, just takes ten times longer as its not a typical VA/Sub layout.....
thats prob what puts ppl off who are used to fixed architecture synths.... takes a bit of time to learn new stuff, and some/alot of users want instant gratification
the thing is, like many things, it's very versatile, but can be as simple as you want, but even the simple part takes more time/effort than your average /normal /classic synth.
