I think I really do not know the exact words to ask but,
Does it exist?
I want to insert a VST in Live master track. Thet VST should be able to send audio to another VST instance in another DAW. Insert a VST in Reaper in whatever track. Do mastering there.
Since there are bridging plugins probably that is the name but not sure. Prob that is why search was no good.

If you want to use something similar in a master track only, why not to bounce your project? It's an absolutely natural way to master. First arrangement, second mixing, then mastering.
There is Rewire. Outdated technology. I don't know whether Rewire was implemented in Ableton but in Reaper it was.
Also there is Jack. You can route audio from one host to another one. Without plugins. A little complicated but works, I tried it some time ago.
But these aren't VST plugins.

It is not impossible - there are vst plugins that send audio directly to asio drivers. I spent an entire day trying to get this to work in Live just last week! Unfortunately, I can't find any such vsts that work on my current computer; I don't know if it's an issue of them being old or something else.
The best solution I can find is to use Jack -- the Jack ASIO automatically recognizes all programs that are using it & you can set up direct routings in the qjackctl graph (qjackctl is automatically installed as part of the Jack installation). Jack is still pretty buggy on Windows but once it's actually running it works quite nicely for this purpose.

P. S. But strictly speaking I don't understand why. When working in DAWs it's just a waste of resources.

Reastream did it. Awesome. Cockos always saving the day.
Reason why is that I vastly prefer Reaper for mastering purposes. CPU management is absolutely superior.
