My card is set to work in 24/48 resolution. (Tarratec PHASE 26 USB). Can go even in 24/96 but i dont need this.

But in FL Audio preferences frequency is at 44000 and when i switch to 48000 i get warning that some plugins wont sound right.

Which plugins??? Because i dont use stock plugins. What does this mean? :(

i think you'll have to experience it with each of your plugin

Some vsti were written such that they assume a 44.1K sample rate (if I remember right, this is the standard for CD audio). If you use a different sample rate, they will sound "off" (a bit sharp) - the difference between 44.1K and 48K is roughly one semitone. I remember the problem showing up with DreamStation DXI, for example.

Most modern plugins work at all sample rates (they look at the host sample rate and make adjustment), but as another writer said, you'll have to test each plugin yourself, or read the specs.

If you install ASIO4All, that can automatically resample 44.1K to 48K. It works pretty well for me, although others have had trouble with it.

Silly me - hit "reply" rather than "edit".
