How to change bit depth on a new file in izotope RX7?

i'm trying to sample from my interface directly into RX7. Whenever i create a "new" file in rx7, It gives me the option to change the sample rate, but not the bit depth, which it automatically puts the settings to 32-bit float. I've googled "how to change bit rate izotope rx7" to no avail. Am i missing something obvious?

Me thinks it just records in the best possible format. Depending on your interface that might even be just 16 bits.
Only after you have processed the data in it's full glory you can save with your preferred bit depth (don't forget to dither!)

It uses the 32-bit float for internal processing like virtually all DAWs. From there you can downsample it to any Bit Depth you like.

Thank you Bert. I admit that this is a weak point in my knowledge (bit depth, dither). i don't know much about bit depth. I use 24 bit when i bounce in logic, so i'm trying to keep it consistent.
I guess i'll record it however in izotope then change the bit depth upon export. thank both of you.
