i tried out the latest adobe audition on my friends pc.. the demo project that it comes with took 47 percent cpu on his pc.. I went and locked all the tracks that had FX on them, with that neat little unintrusive lock button (it took about 2 seconds each track), and it went down to ELEVEN (11) Percent?

how why cant FL or cubase do this? pff pff..

too bad AA doesnt have ASIO..,

Several hosts can do this

Maybe FL can't, but plenty do.

New versions of cubase sx have the "Freeze" function.

ahh but freeze is DIFFFERENT, it renders the whole audio file down...
lock seems to be ALOT quicker, and works, not as good as freeze, but good enough!!

I know all about freeze, i use 2 hosts that have it.

I think cubase sx 3 works with freeze very quick(according to the futures manual).

Whats the other host?

why cant other hosts do this?
