I don't entirely agree but I know where you're coming from. It has crowd noise in the background though so it should count...ericj23 wrote:thats not a live album pressing buttons to run pre arranged rpograms dont countCypherOne wrote:DJ Shadow - In Tune and On Time...![]()

Actually don't laugh but I have a fondness for this baby....

Free - Free Live. I swear that Paul Kosoff bypassed his plectrum and had his soul wired directly into his Les Paul. Not flash, less than 300 notes per second but boy did he have tone.
Zappa and the Mothers - Live at the Fillmore or Live in New York
Dr Feelgood - Stupidity
Santana - Moonflower (the live bits, obviously)
Yes - Yessongs (as stated earlier in this thread, so much better than the studio versions. Reminds me of reading Lord of the Rings for the first time though
)
...and who could forget...
Peter Frampton - Frampton Comes Alive. I was a mere teenager when this came out and we did a version of "Show Me The Way" during which our lead guitarist used a wah-wah but had a plastic tube taped to his mic stand which he stuck in the side of his mouth when he played, just for the pose value. To be honest I only like the memory - the album sucks
Regards,
Derek.

The Roots - The Roots Come Alive!
Miles Davis - Live Evil
Anything by Jimi Hendrix

Live in Europe-Fats Domino
A Festival
Last Concert-Ramones
Don't remember the exact name, I'm not at home in the moment
Live in Lisbon-Pearl Jam
Great
Live in Tokyo-Niko

..hmmmm.. well, it's not actually a live album is it? Tony Visconti erased everything except for the drums and crowd, and had the band rerecord everything else.. And got a grammy in the process! O Well, guess he knew what he was doing!spaceman wrote:Thin Lizzy - Live and Dangerous
For me there are three:
Paris - Supertramp
Playing the Fool - Gentle Giant
Seconds Out - Genesis
DSP
