"Brenda's iron sledge?

Please don't call me Reg - it's not my name."

It's funny, cos I've had that line in my head for the last couple of weeks even though I've not listened to that album for years.

Some of my favs:

Hanx - Stiff Little Fingers
Live at the Counter Eurovision - Misty in Roots
It's too Late to Stop Now - Van Morrison
Live Rust - Neil Young and Crazy Horse
Live at the Royal Albert Hall 1966 - Bob Dylan

And don't forget Diamanda Galas' Plauge Mass..

It's nice to see a couple Thin Lizzy fans here-I always thought Live and Dangerous was a monster of an album :)
Some others;
Lou Reed-Rock and Roll Animal(if for no other reason Steve Hunter's intro to Sweet Jane)
Free-Free Live.Another Paul Kossoff fan here.
Jimi-Live at the Fillmore. The stuff that wasn't released on Band of Gypsys from the New Years Eve/New Years Day Fillmore shows.Stone Free's worth the price of admission alone.
Mahavishnu Orchestra-Between Nothingness and Eternity.
Deep Purple-Made in Japan and the one made from an early '80s show(before Perfect Strangers-it was their first reunion gig).
Jon Butcher-King Biscuit show.
I'm sure I'll think of more...

..hmmmm.. well, it's not actually a live album is it? Tony Visconti erased everything except for the drums and crowd, and had the band rerecord everything else.. And got a grammy in the process! O Well, guess he knew what he was doing!

For me there are three:
Paris - Supertramp
Playing the Fool - Gentle Giant
Seconds Out - Genesis

DSP
it doesn't make it less brillaint
My other host is Bruce Forsyth

Dave Holland Quintet - Extended Play: Live at the Birdland. Although, if there was a bootleg of when I saw them live a few weeks ago, that would be my favorite.

Anyone remember the name of the song that took up one whole side?
It wasn't I Don't Need No Doctor
That's be 'I Walk On Gilded Splinters' wouldn't it? Either way, a fantastic album :D Marriot's voice was never better :D

How about
'Quicksilver Messenger Service' > 'Happy Trails' :D Cipollina and Duncan at their very best :D

'Thin White Rope' > 'The One That Got Away' is another fav of mine :D

Last one
The Great Society> 'Live At The Matrix' Early, pre JA, Grace Slick and f#cking awesome :D
RIP Black Tom and Beckett. They weren't just cats, they were MY cats, the best cats ever.

Under a blood red sky - U2
Without all the synth crap, TV-walls, dandy Bono's etc.. etc..., just pure drum, guitar, bass and singing :o
Ok, my signature picture was too big, out of protest, this is the non-picture version of my signature
