It has to be Deep Purple "Made in Japan" - forever 8)
Do you have a solution ... or are you a part of the problem?

The Tubes - What Do You Want From Live.

This has to be the most typically defining brillant gutsy performance by any band. And going up against the new 'punk rockers' of England at the time where it was recorded ('77?), I think those Yanks showed the Limeys how to attack, bomb, and kill in swift steadfast fashion once again. :hihi:

Orbital - Satan Live (EPs 1, 2, & 3)

BTW, The Prodigy live last weekend in Ghent-Belgium at 'I Love Techno' was great too :D , and they will only play 4 shows this year :D All over the world just 4 shows :D And this was one of them :D Awesome :D They had to stop the concert after 20 minutes becoz the crowd was getting insane :D Who wasnt there missed something :D And Keith Flynt and Maxim still rule :D
Ok, my signature picture was too big, out of protest, this is the non-picture version of my signature

by a long shot it would be:

Miles Davis Quintet - Four and More (1964)

runner's up:

Weather Report - 8:30 (got mine signed when I had lunch with Peter Erskine  )

John Zorn - Electric Masada (50 vol. 4)

Frank Zappa and Ensemble Modern - The Yellow Shark

I'm currently playing the hell out of a live bootleg from the Tortoise tour this past spring, but I dunno if it makes it into the favorites list or not.

Almost made the list:

Mothers of Invention: Ahead of their Time

(at least the second half, after the 'play' ends)

Wow all those in the above list of MW and I would add Jack DeJohnette's Parallel Realities Live with Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny and Dave Holland it's a DVD actually but what the hell eh?

Cheers,
Gordon

Where did you get that DVD? I couldn't find it on Amazon, and I'd love to get a DVD with Dave Holland. Also, thought it's unlikely, is that 5.1 or stereo?

Hula - 1000 Hours (well, sides 1 and 2 then)
Sonic Youth - The Sonic Youth Sound Experience (this is one out of four possible titles but I'll stick to this one)
Laibach - Through The Occupied Netherlands (cassette)
Test Dept - There Is Death Thrown Into Life (bootleg cassette)
Sun Ra - Nuits de La Fondation Maeght vols. 1 and 2
The Residents - The Mole Show Live In Holland (with Penn Gilette)
