I don't know what you all think about it. I tend to be kinda oldschool what with the simplicity of the DAWs from the late 90's and early/mid 2000s, as well as the customizability of trackers like Buzz. (some have taken some time to figure out, I'll admit) but I am quite impressed with the FL Studio Mobile app. Been importing some drum samples and stuff and playing around with the synths provided. Really like the Directwave and the Transistor Bass. Worth what I spent.
What are your thoughts on this app? And do you think it could be used for professional music?

Its a fun app and worth the entry fee- it comes free with FL Studio as a Windows App so you can try it and you can load what you make into FL Studio on a PC etc and add more expansive fx and tracks. So if you write something amazing and want to polish/expand it you have other options...
Professional Music? The chances of getting paid for any music you make are very, very low, even if you have a powerful studio!
It about the talent (usually the song/vocalist!) not the synth/drum tools, but what you have in your hand with an iPad is far more than most 'professionals' had in the 80's at the high of electro-pop....

True. Thing is, a lot of people might think tablet/phone DAWs are just toys and can't be used for professional music. And well, back in the days when I was making music, I kinda sucked at it. You gotta learn and listen to critiques and not get offended. And I'm friends with a guy who does some experimental stuff and has done some real spacy tracks. Apparently a song I did some backup singing in was played on the radio, so that was cool.SLiC wrote: Sat May 01, 2021 9:05 am Its a fun app and worth the entry fee- it comes free with FL Studio as a Windows App so you can try it and you can load what you make into FL Studio on a PC etc and add more expansive fx and tracks. Well, different strokes I guess - I think it's awesome! Got lots of patches and synths, and I've loaded it up with some drum kit and Ambient/FX samples from MusicRadar. Might be getting a new phone soon so I can load up more stuff into it. My current tablet is a dinosaur, and even though it gets the job done, there's a space issue. Gotta get a phone with more app and file space.
