Ha ha. That gif looks to me like someone who hasn't had a cat before or just doesn't like their fingers.
I like the filters in Vital. Then again although i do think good (or great) filters are important to me they are not the "be all, end all" that they seem to be to some people. That is a result of hype IMO. Before the flamethrowers come out Again, i'm not saying that they don't make a big difference in many cases but i do things with softsynths that don't even use filters.
I like all kinds of VCF and filters in general, transistor ladder, diode ladder, SV, bandaxall fixed freq, EQs even.
More on topic thanks Matt for making Vital open source, that's cool and reassuring.

well
all this talk got me so excited I signed up for a copy
Probably won't be adding much to the filter discussion but I will be at home looking at my tablet going "ooh he said that" and "preach"

For those wanting more Vital/Serum wavetables, HomegrownSounds
has a group-buy going, the $25 entry tier includes 700 wavetables from
name-brand hardware synths, with perhaps a thousand in total as the
sale moves ahead. It also includes 4 Kontakt instruments, with more likely to come, as innovation on the fly is a premise of the previous HGS group buys.

Picked that right up. The demos were right up my alley. Run that though some effects and pretend you have a Fizmo.glokraw wrote: Mon May 03, 2021 1:16 am For those wanting more Vital/Serum wavetables, HomegrownSounds

Sorry for the noob question, but I assume that the link to the Homegrown Sounds GB means that Vital can load other wavetables? If so, does that apply to the free version of the synth, as well, or just one of the paid versions? Finally, would the Galbanum wavetables work for this purpose, too?
Thanks in advance!
