I made this NanoStudio 2 Mini Kit to give an example of how to build a track, or spice one up with SFX, using only a few samples from Memory Collection 11 - Adventure. The kit has 16 samples from the free demo pack.

In this video, no "regular" instruments are featured (except for my Sidekick Electronic Percussion) and the samples are used as they are, but there are a few examples on my channel where Memory Collection samples are combined with synth sounds and/or mangled in various ways.

In the 2 patterns shown, I am not even using all the 16 samples! The full MC 11 has 1 862 samples from Public Domain movies that can be further splitted, imagine the possibilities!

Trigger mode for most of the Slate pads is set at One-Shot, don't hesitate to change it to suit your needs. Nembrini Audio Shimmer Delay Ambient Machine is processing some of the samples, but not all of them.

Get the kit here, in the "Free demo pack" section, Sitala version is there too):

In the examples above, the samples are use as they are, not processed or mangled.
In the is video, on the other hand, they are first warped and transposed and then put through some granular randomness in Native Instruments Reaktor. For the occasion I created a sample map of 10 samples from MC11 and it is available for free in the Reaktor User Library:
https://www.native-instruments.com/en/r ... how/14139/

I am using two samplers from the Reaktor User Library, first Piano_light_v3 by Arnd Klotz. It's a traditional sampler with a creative FX section. The sonic results are more controlled and the notes played or entered influence the output. The sample map is used.

The second one is grannySmoother by Rachmiel Schott and here it's complete granular randomness. I am loading one sample at a time. Several parameters are randomized and their min/max settings can be fine-tuned. But, to be honest, here I just loaded the samples and fired away!
