Any suggestions with processing to get near this overall sound - Lo-fi plugins, EQ, amp modelling?
I've tried with stock Logic plugins, but can only get so close.

You need few old synths and an 80s reverb and delay units. Try Lunar Lander plugin, it should cover your lo-fi delay and reverb.

You're probably right about the 80's gear... maybe 70's too.

Plugins to help achieve this sound?....
