We are happy to announce to you our newest effect plugin: Octaver 82 - Vintage Monophonic Octaver
Octaver 82 is an analog simulation of a classic vintage monophonic octaver of the early 80s.
The Octaver 82 is used to fatten up the instrument signal by adding two pitched down tones (1 and 2 octaves below the original one).
This plugin, like the original pedal, is monophonic. Chords will play totally scrambled!
The technique used to make this pedal is very primordial, yet very innovative for the times.
That’s why clean and precise playing is very important to get the best results.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Il9yf35n6I
Price: €20/$20
More info: https://www.audiority.com/shop/octaver-82/
Cheers,
Luca

Love it. Bought it. The OC-2 is one of the few pedals I've ever owned and the Octaver 82 does so many more things than the pedal.
the old free version may not work boots successfully on new generations of computers, instruments, and hardware

OC-2! Nice. Memories from 40 years ago.
It would be great to have a software version of the venerable VB-2 Vibrato ideally with the ability to adjust internal pots to get a wider crazier range! One day....

The tracking, consistency and sound is working great in my tests so far with flute and voice. Just one odd thing is that in Reaper the low OCT 2 is perfectly out of phase (cancels in mono). Is this an insect/bug?

That's strange. If that happens again, can you post a screenshot? Thanksthecontrolcentre wrote: ↑Sat May 08, 2021 1:51 am Just tried to buy it and got a Sold Out - item currently unavailable message Will try again tomorrow.

Did you tried it also with 0% direct level? I did it with my Parker guitar (-1 Oct, simple bass simulator) and the results didn't persuaded me at all. From the other point of view the Octa Filter mode is great!

I did check it with 0% direct. Maybe it worked well for me because my audio was from a pure monophonic source. Btw, to workaround the out of phase OCT2, with another plugin I muted one channel and centered the other (or use Reaper's channel pins).

I'll check that tomorrow and work on a fix. Thanks for the feedback!

As an electric guitarist, and more recently, bassist, I've not once thought: "Hey, I need to double this up with an octave (or two!) below." I'd chalk that up to my lack of imagination though, so what's the original pedal used for?

I've had an OC-2 for the last 25 years, can't wait to check this out!
Here's Tony Levin jamming the fookin' L out of his fretless MusicMan StingRay bass through an OC-2:
