More experiments using synths with banana jacks. This time, using my Vector sequencer from Five12, to sequence an STS Serge Blue Voice and Red CV panel.

In this piece, I'm more or less using the Blue Voice, like a subtractive synth voice (Osc>Filter>VCA) but I'm doing all sorts of weird wave shaping to the modulators, via the Wave Multipliers. The Output was tracked through an all tube signal path and then route ted a send through my echo fix tape delay.

Another bonus track, this one is a bit more aggressive. Serge+Culture Vulture.

Thanks for listening! I was definitely going for a more spacey vibe with sinequanon. The tape delay really is super-lush!

The Serge oscillators are so good for making dynamic sequences. Lots of shaping options via self-patching. I had an even more berlin-school-ish sequence going on today but nothing worth recording.

Lest night I was experimenting with pulsar synthesis and windowed sync. Getting some great formant-y sounds. The DUSGs are great for that because they don't retrigger while rising and they track 1v/Oct. That also makes them great vc-clock dividers.

i like girded, it sounds seriously badass.
i like how in between it is silent, which normally I don't. It seems to make you pay more attention

Thanks for listening!

Just uploaded another short clip:

Cross patching the Lorre-Mill synths with the Serge. Experimenting with different types of synthesis.

More really cool sounds. :) I get Radiophonic Workshop vibes from that first one too. I think "girded" has some of the coolest sounds in this bunch, but they all sound like fun.
Fugue State Audio - plugins, samples, etc.

girded is certainly the squelchiest of the bunch! The VCFQ can go far into acid territory and gets really nasty when FMed. It's tempting to use this thing as a really fancy bassline synth, so I figured I would get that out of my system!

Nice to hear that a modular expert is around here at KVR! Nice work, for those who want to go deep into modular synthesis..

Thanks for listening. I'm not sure I would call myself a modular expert but I've certainly had opportunities to play with a lot of cool toys over the years. I've learned a lot and I like to share the experience. The signal flow concepts can be applied to lots of aspects of music production.

i'm enjoying the un-processed production ...
i'm really enjoying the space between the phrases ...

I listened to sinequanon and girded. Girded is my preference, purely for the squelchier sounds on offer, and the the groovier nature of the piece.

Good work :)
