Processing one of my Tremor beats with Timeless 3, using a modulated bandpass and a notch filter in the feedback chain , tweaking things on the fly, getting lost...

In the long run I certainly won't... let's see when it arrives at the retailers... (for me that means no VAT)

The Fabfilter store has a fixed price, regardless of whether - and how much - VAT they charge... - (and yes, they do in fact
: 7.7%) - both Best Service and Timespace however never do.

I REALLY don't like how dark this new GUI is. Who thought dark gray text on an almost black background was a good idea? Like, I can read the word drive, but the 0 to 100% is barely visible. Same for the others. Really straining to make those out. Also those knobs are dark gray on a near black background. Then the modulators are dark green, dark purple, etc. And some of the icons are tiny, like ok...the snowflake is freeze, what's below that? Is that a lightning bolt with a slash through it? The tiny tape reel I can make out, what the hell's above it? Is that a chicken bone?
For my own personal tastes, this is Fabfilter's first truly bad GUI. And it's not about any part of the Ux other than poor color choices and a few tiny icons. Maybe it looks great on a crazy bright monitor or TV, but I'm using an LG IPS monitor here at 1080p and even with the Extra Large GUI setting, these things are tiny and near-impossible to see. And I've got 20/20 vision.
I'm sure it's a wonderful delay, but I'd strongly advise them to clean up some of these UI elements and add contrast to the darkest text and make a few things bigger.
Here's a quick comparison between the same knob in Timeless 3 vs. Saturn 2. Same GUI size on both: Extra Large. The difference is pretty big IMO. Now multiply that across nearly every GUI element.

Hm no issues here with colors or readability. But I also work on a color calibrated monitor with daylight in the room. Though I see the differences to Saturn2 in direct comparison. Maybe you could add a feature request and they'd change it if enough users have the same problem?

Okay, still not bad for an upgrade...jens wrote: Mon May 10, 2021 2:11 pmJust to make sure: the 33€ was the upgrade, not the full price...LoveEnigma18 wrote: Mon May 10, 2021 1:54 pm The lower price gets us most of the time. 33€ is a fantastic price for Saturn 2, but hopefully you get around using it. If Timeless 3 was about 30-40€, I might have jumped on it. Glad it isn't.
But I thought "timeless" could be related to "vintage" in some way...![]()
being the true Gearslut that I am ( whoops sorry - I forgot that this is considered an inappropriate term these days, self-irony and all) I certainly would upgrade for around 30€ without even demoing.
But 54€ is more than what Valhalla Delays costs, and the latter gets added free additonal functionality over the course of several updates and years -and it does that gorgeous analog chorus stuff (and what not) in a blink of an eye starting from scratch - and it does it well.
Yeah, the name is chosen quite well - however obviously no guarantee at all that it will deliver.
I am sure most would.
True... tired of demoing (delay) plugins now...
I wish there was a way to unsubscribe from topics. The longer you stay, the higher chances of you ending up getting something.jens wrote: Mon May 10, 2021 2:55 pm Am I actually in the process of talking myself into getting it?![]()

Sorry, actually I meant to get rid from "My Forum Topics" section, as I use that to see if any topics in which I have posted earlier have any new comments. Unfortunately, there is no way to get rid of topics from there.Fleer wrote: Mon May 10, 2021 4:36 pm There's an easy way to unsub from topics. Click the wrench to the right of "Post Reply" and unsubscribe.
I am not actually subscribed to any topic.
Thanks though.

That's no problem - I didn't expect that - but they can serve as useful starting points at least

haha turns out I shouldn't have uninstalled FabFilter Timeless 2 before installing this - if you still have T2 on your system it automatically creates a link to the T2 presets folder (which I found out after reinstalling it and trying to import them manually).aMUSEd wrote: Mon May 10, 2021 5:12 pmThat's no problem - I didn't expect that - but they can serve as useful starting points at least
It even links to Timeless 1 presets if anyone still has that.
