Find out how far you can push Unfiltered Audio's SILO while still sounding organic and musical.

In this audio demonstration, Richard Devine uses an 808 loop, a Rhodes piano, and some dropping coins as source material to showcase how you can use this spatial reverb in your music productions and sound design projects. All presets mentioned in the video are available as factory presets in the plugin.

00:00 - Introduction
01:29 - First Example - 808 Loop
06:20 - Second Example - Rhodes Piano
09:31 - Third Example - Coins Dropping (Sound Design)
15:34 - Outro

Unfiltered Audio’s SILO is unlike any other reverb out there. Endlessly tweakable and just begging to be automated, it harnesses the power of granular processing for incredibly rich and even otherworldly reverb sounds you have to hear to believe.

Wow ! Most of the examples show exactly what you would’t do if you want something that sounds nice.
Please don’t read the above post. It’s a stupid one. Simply pass.

Thats the first thing I thought when I saw Richard Devine, and the last thing I thought when I shut down the video.

Well, it seems the plugin is very capable, but most examples simply show the sound going apes#it, like it’s having a seizure or something...

When I tested the first Beta version it sounded terrible, now the granular part sounds good. It can produce these obnoxious clicking artifacts which we know from BYOME but tweaking the grain shapes will solve that problem in most cases, it all depends on the source material, I'm not too enthusiastic about the sound of the reverb...

I can hear it's potential but... kind of reminded me of one of those Reaktor ensembles you play with for twenty minutes, think 'cool' then never use in anger. Maybe I'm just not a big granular person... Look forward to getting it for next to nothing in a year or so. :hihi:

Now that's a nicer illustration of what you can achieve.

Still way too clicky, just like the BYOME granulator - not going to pick this up.
The new visual direction is stunning though.

Also, the Reaktor Ensemble comment is too spot on lol.

Nice musical example Simon.

I might find it useful for some of my experimental things but I'll wait until it goes on sale for $29.99.

Pretty disappointed with this. I love granular but this sounds weird to me, I can’t quite put my finger on it. Not into that GUI either.

a proper grain window. 👍🏼
