Hi,

Am I the only one that have audio problem with my MBA ?

Sometime the audio drop and there is no output in audio system preferences.

The only way I found to get it back is to reboot the laptop.

that thread unfortunately is 2008. The OP has this with an MI model.

I noticed one of the answers was 'repair disk permissions in Disk Utility' which hasn't been a thing for a few years now, then noticed the date of that post.
That was determined to be a hardware fault, and I would treat this as such and take it to Apple. I've had a machine out of a bad batch before.

I though it was a software issue ...but if nobody have this problem maybe it could be hardware ...

Your symptomology looks the same as the issue in 2008. The sometimes it works [after a restart etc] says to me hardware fault, a bad connection or wiring that sometimes works...

What audio devices do you have? Do you perhaps use a bluetooth headphones or simular?

Macbook Air M1, no audio output
