You know, like the ones you hear in film soundtracks like Lord of the Rings:

Something like that kind of stuff. Hope someone knows. :)

If you want a playable instrument, and not loops or phrases, there's not a lot to pick from. I think Ivy Audio Clare Solo is about the only thing that can do this kind of thing well for free and is still available. You could also try Soundbetter Singers, but I don't think it's all that good.

If you downloaded Daisy for Alter/Ego while she was still available, she's actually really good at this kind of stuff, with a ton of control over vibrato and legato, and her choppy consonants don't matter in this context. The current free voice, Bones, is male, and Alys and Nata have 4-minute free trials. Clara's Vocal was another Kontakt library that could do this, but that is no longer available either, as it turned into the commerical Ethera.

I actually grabbed Clara's Vocal, when it was available, although i don't have the full Kontakt, but, obviously, you can just use the samples too.

Thanks for the tips. Just had a look at Ivy Audio Clare Solo, but, it seems to need the full Kontakt also. I guess i can just use the samples of that one as well?

I don't think Clare Solo has wav files, so without full Kontakt your options will be very limited. Is talking to girls who like to sing an option?

If only i knew some. :D Let alone have the equipment to record them... anyway, i guess i'll take a look what i can do with Clara's Vocal library, i just thought i'd ask for some more, to have some more to choose from. Thanks anyway.

There's a solo female vocal in Embertone's Arcane.
Which, incidentally, is compatible with the free Kontakt Player.

Awesome, thanks for that. :)

Edit: I like their style. On checkout:
If your name is Frank Furter, your address is Buckingham Palace, London, your phone number is 867-5309, and your email address is satan@hellmail.com, keep this in mind: when we have free instrument updates, you won't be getting an email from us. Because we have no idea how to contact you. Just some food for thought :)

It's amazing what you can do with Clara's Vocal Library, or Ethera, if you turn off the built-in effects, use Melodyne or something like it to get Clara to sing your melodies, bounce down, then add your own effects afterwards.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Also check out Micah's choir. It's male, but in a very high range, so it might work:

Too bad it sucks. I like Embertone a lot, they have some great plugins, paid and fee, but this isn't one. It's like they started making a plugin, got stoned, and decided to hell with making something worthwhile, let's make something "weird" that makes no sense to mess with people.
