Filterbank3 alternative (Filter+LFO+ExtremeDistortion in 1 plugin)?

Its a discontinued product. Hopefully, we will see FilterBank 4 soon, they have the technology and the means to do it.

Many have asked over the years. But no luck.

Fun fact : Some big names continued using Filterbank2 for a long time, as they thought it sounded better (the distortion part was the kick distortion for many years).

But yeah, an update would be welcome. Include the FB2 and FB1 distortions, modernize the gui a little bit, and we'll be happy.

I agree an update would be nice but im also very happy with it how it is.
I also heard Waldorf D-Pole v2 wasnt as good as v1. I managed to track down an old v1 to compare and couldnt tell any difference though.

One thing i do know is that running 96khz does create a slightly different sound and worth checking out

Yes a Filterbank4 with a more modern GUI, all the legacy FB distortions, no nasty noise floor and Mac 64bit support would be a dream come true!

Btw how does one best go about installing Waldorf D-Pole (on Mac)? I found it free to download here: https://waldorfmusic.com/en/archive/d-p ... ry/183-Mac but it comes in some kind of .sit file that I can't open.

I have FB3 installed. But didn't use it that much to be honest.
And i don't know if the distortions are that different, it's only what others have told me in the past ; apparently the older distortions go dirtier and more extreme before the low-end is affected.

But again, not my experience, only what others told me. And you probably know what i mean when i say it was the distortion for millenium kicks, including the filter edits you heard so much.
