(・_・ヾ New music at the end of the thread.

Since I'm new to the forum I thought I'd introduce myself and create a thread where I'll be posting my tracks.

Any feedback is always welcome, and I'm happy to offer help as well.

I thought I'd kick it off with the first track I ever produced. It's funny to look back on it 16 years later and to see where it all began. Just stock sounds and some presets, awful mixing done in garage band—it's pretty terrible. Enjoy:)

hi, and welcome to our little hangout here on the intermesh.
i have also posted "beginnings" of my music in here before...
some replies were, ummmmm Layzer, your stuff still sounds
pretty bad. this was very good for a start though. better than
my random white noise.

I haven't done many tracks that are 4 on the floor, but a few years ago I was feeling nostalgic for my raver days so I decided to make a dance…ish album. Not sure what genera the album landed in, but here's the first track:

"The Empty Set 1" was cool and had some interesting ideas for the style, but I especially liked "SN69.14." Really nice chill vibe there.

e1 - really interesting little melodic ideas in there just needed a few more sustained parts to glue all the hectic movement together!

Morning FLEX and new beginning...really interesting start without a doubt - that Jazz Noir sound is a really tough one to crack...you've gotta get those complex, background harmonies spot on and the little bluesy melodic fragments are hard to shape effectively.

Thanks for listening. The e1 track is my very first attempt at producing 16 years ago.

I'm in the process of working on the Jazz Noir track now. I usually start with a basic melody, then move on to sound design(where I'm at right now), and then I move on to the arrangement. It seems like most tracks take me about a month to complete at this point, but I'll post it when it's finished.
