Is there anything out there like Magma?

I actually don't care about the effects themselves, but what intrigues me is the ability to chain VST plugins AND have global modulators that you can assign to any parameter on any of the loaded plugins.
This practically gives any DAW global modulators like Bitwig does natively, at least to some degree.
Anything like Magma out there?

Thanks for reminding me I own a Magma license. Last time I checked it was a bit buggy and development seems to have stopped with the death of Bernie.
Anyway how about BlueCat's Patchwork ?

I don't think there is anything quite like it - but Magma became unuseable buggy with the introduction of its abillity to load VSTs, so perhaps this kind of stuff is better left to the DAW itself - most nowadays include tools for this - it's just the dinosaurs like Cubase which don't...

If Studio One had it, it could have been the perfect DAW... hopefully in version 6.jens wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 2:57 pm I don't think there is anything quite like it - but Magma became unuseable buggy with the introduction of its abillity to load VSTs, so perhaps this kind of stuff is better left to the DAW itself - most nowadays include tools for this - it's just the dinosaurs like Cubase which don't...

Well, in Studio One you have at least the Routing window plus there is the LFO tool. Not quite the same, but I think it is more flexible and powerful and once you got used to it also more comfortable to use than any 3rd party solution.ferez21 wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 3:13 pmIf Studio One had it, it could have been the perfect DAW... hopefully in version 6.jens wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 2:57 pm I don't think there is anything quite like it - but Magma became unuseable buggy with the introduction of its abillity to load VSTs, so perhaps this kind of stuff is better left to the DAW itself - most nowadays include tools for this - it's just the dinosaurs like Cubase which don't...

I just checked and it seems that not, which amazes me as Unify is such a monster plugin!Teksonik wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 3:19 pm Unify maybe? Not sure about the modulations.

But the developers is really friendly here on kvr and it's worthy to try to ask that feature - at least the LFO part seems so obvious on Unify workflow that I thought that it was already possible.

Well then I'm running out of ideas. Kushview Element maybe ?
https://kushview.net/element/
Other than that FL Studio's Patcher comes to mind but it isn't available as a separate plugin.
Magma is still for sale but at a rather steep price of $199 considering it hasn't been updated since 2015 and was buggy the last time I used it.
Shame as it is a cool plugin with what are basically the Plug and Mix effects included.
Dmitry Sches was one of the developers and I remember working with him on testing the bugs in version 1.6.6 but I don't remember why development stopped perhaps because Bernie Torelli passed away in early 2016.
