this midi software doesn't seem to exist anywhere:
"midi pattern finder"
let's say you have a midi melody track
you select all the midi notes in bar 1, thus a 1-bar pattern
you tell the midi software to find the exact same midi note sequence in bar 1 that is occurring elsewhere in that same track
the software then isolates/renames all the duplicate midi patterns it finds
if for example, bar 33 is the exact same midi pattern as bar 1 then bar 33 is named by the software as "same as bar 1"

I would love to have the iOS apps ported to the Windows platform!
This has not happened for the most part but hope the new Windows midi app developers make iPad like apps.
This is why I requested that the new midi apps be multi-touch capable.
