Thanks for the tip! I had totally missed that 'Customize' option at the bottom of the installer screen, great! Also thanks for the comments about UAD/FG-Stress and IK. I'm also interested in demoing the IK one. Personally I don't have anything against the VMR, and quite like it, but in total - before discovering you could choose the units - it felt a bit "bloated" if one only has one or two licenses. And FG-Stress outside of UAD is by far my most used and favorite distressor. I’m starting to use IKs new emulation but idk if it will replace FG Stress for me. Time will tell!

My 2 cents is that Sknote Disto has the most "hardware" sound. It sounds more convincing than FG Stress to me. Disto is also one of the best at really controlling transients. There's a lot of good comps out now but for a good while, Disto was my go to for transient control and is still used a lot.

A friend of mine has Disto, and I also really dig the sound. It can be however a bit non-beginner friendly without presets (although there should be some user one's somewhere? Idk).
