Toontrack EZDrummer, with a lot of added stuff.
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

I can't speak for Alex, but the reason I never use it is that isn't only a three-quarter developed product. My view is that a product is only as good as its weakest link. BT has several design and functionality problems eg you can't fit a pattern on a page. It becomes clumsy and unsatisfying to work with, despite many strengths. Many will easily get past these and good for them, it has a lot going for it, but for me it's the talisman of a product that gathers digital dust.Kinh wrote: ↑Mon May 24, 2021 6:20 amwhy?alexlimbert wrote: ↑Sun May 23, 2021 7:11 am Superior Drummer 3. I'm quite the fan of iZotope's effects and especially NR which is incredible, but the decision to abandon BT did them real harm in my eyes. It just never got finished, and was dropped with unseemly haste. Why? Why not invest a bit more time and money to make it really work? To this day, I avoid their instruments.

I've not too much into romplers/samplers I like pure synthesis.
Drumatic 4 and Drumaxx (I'm lucky I picked up the VST version before IM stopped selling it)

Atlas 2 is going to be something special.

Yeah, I like it a lot. For my beats I usually use Sitala + Sononym sample manager / XLN XO / random chopped up loops but it's been fun getting into acoustic kits with MODO. A lot of cool, varied presets to explore and a nice amount of things to tweak. You can definitely get a really impressive sound out of it and I think the interface is pretty good.

I use Jamstix for generating rhythms, augmented with commercial midi drum loops and some hand tweaking. Sounds are usually from BFD (with a lot of additional drum samples), but sometimes I use Superior 2.

So Atlas went into the grace period.
I’ve had lots of fun combining Samples from Mars with Atlas, so I’m looking forward to the upgrade.

I don't need a sequencer, or a sample browser. Is anything else new?
Edit: just noticed the new "galaxy" mode of map.
