Within the first minute or so of demoing this, I just kinda forgot about the myriad of good delays I have already. It covers an insane number of bases for a delay and the level of control takes it way past most. You really want to sit with it and make your own homebrew delay. The presets are a good education in the possibilities. Try this if you haven't. I missed it at first, glad it didn't take me long to come around.

Pretty complex monster, this will take little while to fully explore. The 4x4 feedback matrix reminds me of u-he MFM2.

Are you making a preset pack for this?
It’s a great delay.

Thank you, I'm not sure yet but most probably yes. It's much more than a delay and I have to further explore its possibilities. Timeless 3 first, then Pigments 3, then Falcon again and then maybe Reflex.simmo75 wrote: Wed May 26, 2021 1:47 amTypically beautiful SimonSampleconstruct wrote: Tue May 25, 2021 4:18 pm Processing a simple, repeating piano phrase with a custom preset in Reflex-Pro-X:

@stw - I have been looking for a creative delay effect and was going to choose between Fabfilter's Timeless 3 and Blue Cat Audio's Late Replies 1.5, mainly because it could host other plugins. Then at the last minute, I looked up some more extensive audio previews of REFLEX-PRO-X on YouTube because I was unfamiliar with the company. I really liked what I was hearing. So I picked it up yesterday knowing that I would have all day today to experiment.
First off, this is way more than just a dedicated delay or reverb effect. At first, I didn't realize this was a full-blown multi-effect processor. It can take care of everyday standard effects duties and is also a tool for those into complex and intricate delay lines, pitch-shifted & shimmering reverbs, frequency shifting, filtering, saturation and on and on it goes. And all with a very slick GUI too!!
But at the end of the day, I care about how it sounds in my own music above all else. I opened up a project with minimal percussion but had a few instances of Newfangled Audio's Generate synthesizer. I used REFLEX-PRO-X on pads, bass, and rhythmic elements and I've stumbled upon a goldmine for processing that adds instant depth and drama, especially for a track that is specifically aimed at the Cinematic end of the spectrum.
I would highly recommend this plugin for any kind of acoustic or electronic instrumentation (because it sounds awesome on everything), and it sounds really lush on vocals. I've found that combining it with a synth like Lion, Generate or Vital, makes even simple sounds into fluid, rich and evolving tracks that are much more expressive. Or send a vocal to a bus and you have instant soundscapes that could easily be made into pads. I look forward to seeing what kind of progress and new features might be added down the road. Much respect to stw-audio team!!

Thanks for the kudos @morphex. Always good to hear when users get inspired by the plug!morphex wrote: Tue Jun 01, 2021 4:42 am I look forward to seeing what kind of progress and new features might be added down the road. Much respect to stw-audio team!!
FYI: I just started porting REFLEX-PRO-X to version 2. This means a complete overhaul of the codebase and therefore will take some time.
That update will bring a lot of new features i'm eager to see myself including updated/resizeable ui incl. hd display support, new fx modules and a lot of other enhancements.
