What's New in this third version?
Lift3 (MASTER & MIX) brings you all the power of its predecessor adding exciting new features that will bring some serious heat to your project.

We upgraded it with:

-New ultra-musical High pass and Low pass filters
-A new 'insane' compressor
-An additional in-your-face clipper for extra loudness, with separate MID control
-An independent Side control for extra width
-And last but not least, a super versatile routing control.

In Scott Banks’ own words:

“DIAMOND LIFT captures the true essence of the Studio DMI workflow and signature sound that has been used for several years by Luca Pretolesi and me, on numerous chart-topping records. LIFT is carefully pieced together to accurately emulate four integral steps of our process and make the Studio DMI sound, that is achieved in our studio with multiple pieces of analog gear. Each section of the plug-in has been purposefully chosen and designed to make LIFT a versatile and powerful, easy to use plug-in that can be used to quickly bring a synth or vocal to the front of a mix, or transform a dull track into a thick, exciting and loud final master.”

Which chart do you mean? Sales chart? Chart topping artists have skills, that they use specific gear is not the key, they could do the same with a different brand...
There ain’t no such thing as a secret tool beside experience and skills...
For sure Acustica leads the chart for burning resources... CPU, disk space and money... (I don’t question that it might sound good btw...)

Nice update. Definitely improved over the previous version. Has more depth and just sounds thicker. I have no problem alternating it with my Softube DS-1 on my master bus. As far as cpu is concerned, It's not bad at all actually and not nearly as cpu hungry as some of their other plugins I have like that transient plugin which is ridiculous. I'm using it on Windows 7 with no problem. In fact, I use all my AA plugins on Windows 7. The catch is though that I mainly use them on the Master bus. Across a bunch of channels, forget about it.

I think you took things a little out of context. I took it to mean the "secret" being a plugin designed to replicate Pretolesi's personal setup and way of doing things in his studio sort of like a secret home made recipe. Sure, anybody can make spaghetti but maybe his "secret" is in his sauce. And to be fair, you don't come out with a new plugin and say,"Any chart topping artist can get the same results with a different plugin" if you hope to sell it. That's just marketing. You take what you can use with a grain of salt and throw out the rest and just go and demo it.
