so, when I double click to full zoom, then double click scroll bar again, it's suppose to return to what the zoom before the double click was, because mine doesn't.. stays at full screen fit..
edit: also, if I click and drag the top magnifier it zooms, and the bottom magnifier zooms as well. I would have expected one or the other being opposite action. a "do" and "undo" if you will.. bottom being the undo..

Hmmm. In 4.2b10, double-click to full vertical zoom and double click to return works for me almost all the time, but I have observed it not to work sometimes also.
FWIW, I really like the way the top vertical magnifier drag leaves the bottom of the display almost unchanged while altering the top of the display, and the bottom vertical magnifier drag leaves the top of the display almost unchanged while altering the bottom. IMO that's quite clever and I find it instantly understandable and very useful.

I thought that this was possible but it turned out that I was wrong.
I added a menu item:
I rebuilt the Windows beta version v4.2b8 (see above post) with this new option.
Thanks,
Attila
milliondabeat wrote: Thu May 20, 2021 5:38 am hey is there a way i can keep the order/arrangement of the phrases inside the phrase container when i regenerate?
i want to keep the generic generator as "A" and the melody generator as "B"
but whenever i regenerate the order is unpredictably it keeps changing

thank you and sorry about the misunderstanding, i wasn't talking about the Idea Tool,
i meant the phrase container
" is there a way i can keep they order of the generators the same inside of the phrase container,
for example i want the melody generator to always be "A" and i want the chord generator to always be "B" like in the picture and i wanted to do it in the phrase editor not the ideal tool, the problem is when i use the phrase container generator the order phrases keeps changing, sometimes the melody generator is first and sometimes its not

RapidComposer v4.2b11 is available!
This update features the requested 'chord rules lock' and the result of lots of testing of the VST3 plug-in which offers 128 MIDI channels (through 8 event buses) in various hosts.
Experiences with 128 channels:
- Cubase 11 Pro: 128 channels work well, with working MIDI CC's
- REAPER: only 32 channels work well, with working MIDI CC's. I could not find a setting in REAPER routing menus to make Ch 33 work (MIDI Out 3 Ch 1 in RapidComposer).
- Studio One 5: 128 channels work well, but MIDI CC's do not work. I contacted Presonus developers.
Improvements:

- Chord rules lock have been added to all chord rules settings. When unlocked, the rule automatically changes based on the scale (default).
- Tonic, Step Above Tonic, Step Below Tonic added to Melody Generator 'Last Note' option
- '2nd Last Note' menu added to Melody Generator (penultimate note options removed from Options menu)
- Fixed crash when using 'undo' in the Phrase Editor

No problem, indeed I misunderstood you. In the next beta version (and in the stable update next week) there will be an option to keep the phrase order.milliondabeat wrote: Sat May 29, 2021 7:19 pm thank you and sorry about the misunderstanding, i wasn't talking about the Idea Tool,

Nice update for sure..
Something you might want to address really fast is adding documentation on how you are using scale inheritance in the timeline. (for when you set a new scale and right click it) I didn't see it there..
For most, it should be obvious, but, for some, they may miss that..

RapidComposer v4.2b12 is available!
Big changes in this one: the History tab has been removed, instead you can access previous and next states using the new 'undo' and 'redo' arrows. Past states can be stored in RAM, so your composition folder will not be cluttered with .rcCOMP.history folders. Of course the option to store past states on disk is also available.
I ask everyone to download and try this version, and report any issues you find.

Hi Attila!
Probably I do not understand something, but if I have ON an option "change chords with a new scales), then chords must correspond to the scales. But in my picture you can see (red), that it is not always so. Why?

Hi lulukom,
This does not work with pentatonic scales... Matching chords to the new scale works by converting the chord to scale degrees on the old scale. So it is not a simple "find nearest note" algorithm.
E.g. note A# (or rather Bb) in C Minor is the last scale degree: VII (7th scale degree).
But if you choose a Chromatic scale (more notes) VII becomes F# (also 7th scale degree).
If you choose a Pentatonic scale (less notes), there is not even a 7th degree here!
So chord matching gives expected results on 7-degree scales only. More precisely: where the degrees of the source and target scale are the same.
Thanks,
Attila
