Anyone want to beta test a new plug?

[edit] this plug doesn't work in buzz or energyXT standalone, i'm guessing that these plugs don't send song position info to fx, which cc seq relies on to calcuate sequencer timing. I'm going to do some more research to figure out an alternate timing system. I'll post an update later, but for those who haven't tried it, i wouldn't recommend trying the plug until i get this sorted out. For those who have, thanks! very quick responses around here.. :)

(I tried to post a screen shot, but the forum doesn't want to display it, i guess its in the worng format or something. Instead you can download the screenshot at the above link.)

Its a 16 step cc sequencer, synced to the host.
Programmed in delphi.
[edit] its designed with modular environments in mind

Its not quite finished yet, the GUI is pretty ugly and there are some more features to be added. At the moment there is no parameter smoothing between steps.

But it hasn't been tested on anyone's system apart from mine, which it works fine on, but I'd like to find about any problems before adding more features.

Anyone interested?

d/l it using the same link. CcSeq.zip

couldn't get cubase 2.2 to recognise it

FL studio ( recent addition ) did but only as a vst effect not an instrument ??

Hope this helps
BTW the gui is imo bare but functional, sometimes this is best.

Hey whoomph....PM me, i'll mail you some tips and "how-to's" on beta testing. 8)

As for the plug....Sure, I'll test it out for you...I love this surge of midi plugins that has come in the past 6 months. :D

Peace!

Thanks for testing and screenshot Whoomph! :D i wonder if anyone will be able to load it in cubase... i like the bare look of the GUI, some plugins are too visually demanding imo.

Some more info, it's a vst plugin that generates midi CC data, the CC value is controlled by the 16 step sequencer. I'm planning to use it with drums to rhythmically modulate FX settings.

Its not an instrument and shouldn't show up with other vsti's. I made it for use in modular enviroments like energyXT.

I've only just started programming, so i still don't really understand whats going on. Its been a big learning experience. :) These plugins were built from tobybear's vst template.

and I got it up in XT but wasn't quite sure what to do with it!!???.
I also tried moving it around to different folders to see if sx would pick it up but to no avail.
It looks\sounds very interesting,
good on you for taking the plunge !!!

It was hot enough here today !!! Eh? (SE QLD)

Here is a screenshot of how i've set it up in energyXT.

- open whatever synth your using and set it up to recieve automation from a midi cc. I've been using energyXT to set cc numbers and destination parameter. (Some synths have there own internal systems).

- open cc seq,

-change the cc out value if you need to. it defults to cc no. 14.

- move the sliders to set up your sequence and hopefully you should hear something change on your synth (perhaps see it to.)

damn, I hate giving up this early, but I have to go to bed.

I've been trying it on a (brace yourself) Pentium 2, 300, 256 meg Digital doorstop.

Windows ME. SoundBlaster Live!.

Here's what I found:

It loads and runs in Buzz, but I haven't yet figured out how to get it to adjust cc values on a vst instrument.

Plogue Bidule also recognizes it, but I was unable to get it to run, or adjust cc values.

All of this may be due to my own lack of knowledge of cc automation techniques in Buzz and Bidule.
I apologize if this is the case.

Both hosts recommended not automating Sync Value or End Step , darn.

umm, the gui matches the Buzz gui perfectly.
I like the Buzz gui.

CCSeq is a good idea, I hope to see either the version I have or a future version working.

Good luck, and thanks!

buzz has no midi suport .. or has :?
