Hi,

I wonder if free soundfonts can be used in commercial recordings for free, and also what about free and trial versions of Dxi/VST synth's.

I don't think there is a general rule. Read the licence ( if there is one) for restrictions.

Sometimes a soundfont will say that the developers permission is required for commercial use. I usually don't bother downloading those.

Thx, I found many soundfonts without copyright info or instructions for commercial use.
