Chosen synth - Tricent
After working on another project I found that this synth can produce some really great tones while looking very simple and very limited in some ways. It is may be the best sounding Full Bucket synth in terms of vintage character. Without any external processing it sounds like a late 70's/early 80's sci-fi movie soundtrack, so the stylistic choise for my composition was made instantly. It was a pleasure to spend another weekend with this instrument.
Composed, arranged, mixed and mastered in FL Studio 20
8 instances of "Tricent" used to create a track. All sounds from "init" patch.
Native Effects:
x2 Delay 3
x1 Reeverb 2
x2 PanOMatic
x1 Wave Candy
x1 dB Meter
VST Effects:
x2 TDR & VoS "SlickEQ"
x1 TDR Kotelnikov
x2 Walhalla "Supermassive"
Master Chain:
TDR "Nova"
TDR "Limiter №6 GE"
Total:
x8 Generators
x10 Effects
x17 MIDI Patterns
x10 Mixer Tracks
No Audio Clips
x23 Automation Clips

I went a little bigger this time, but tried to keep the sound of the synth as much as possible.
https://soundcloud.com/anotherbenjamin/ ... the-oceans
made in Reaper 6 with
28 instances of Modulair
3 equalizers serving only to block some DC offsets
2 WagsVolumeReducer for that sweet MIDI-triggered ducking
1 MatrixVerb because I wanted a cleaner reverb than Modulair provides
3 GClip for subtle peak trimming
1 Event Horizon Limiter/Clipper to win the loudness war
1 MTS-ESP Suite Master for easy, consistent 53edo tuning.
SPAN and MLoudnessAnalyzer for master analysis
Sometime before voting is done I will compile my presets into a bank and share them here - I'm quite proud of my sounds and I didn't want to hide them behind FX in this one.
oh, and a side note: I didn't use the wavetable oscillator (and of course I didn't use the sample player)
this is all the classic oscillators, noise, FM, and a couple formant oscillators for extra spice.

Hello!
I'm totally new here, but I had been thinking of participating for quite a while now, and since I love Full Bucket's Synths, I thought this would be the right time for joining!
I have chosen one synth, that (at the time of posting) no-one else seems to have considered: "the Deputy"
The composition (if you want to call it one) is mainly based on an ascending D dorian scale and just stacks the beautiful analog sounds to showcase them. There's also only one drum/percussion pattern throughout the track.
https://soundcloud.com/user-167923738/1 ... c-may-2021
And here's the track information:
Synth: Full Bucket's "the Deputy Mark II" 13x (9x Synth Sounds, 4x Drums+Percussion)
The sounds are (mostly) modified presets.
DAW: Logic Pro X 10.5.1 (Mojave)
Effects: Reverb (Polyverse Comet) + Compression (from DAW) on Drums, Delay (from DAW) on 3 tracks only
Master Bus: EQ, Exciter, Limiter
So what you hear is mostly the pure sound of "the Deputy"!
Looking forward to your feedback, since I'm quite a newbie in music production.

I had the same experience. I was trying to create another soundcloud account and it didn't let me. Soundcloud is weird.1980-F wrote: Tue Jun 01, 2021 1:31 am Hello!
Unfortunately I wasn't able to create a Soundcloud account - there was an error message at registering when I was asked for age and gender saying "unexpected error". I tried it with different browsers and devices.

I had a similar problem, and IIRC it ended up being my email address, which was with gmail. I signed up for a different email provider and used that and it worked.1980-F wrote: Tue Jun 01, 2021 1:31 am Unfortunately I wasn't able to create a Soundcloud account - there was an error message at registering when I was asked for age and gender saying "unexpected error". Didn't give myself time to finish, so an unmixed draft will have to do this time around. Details to follow.

Bitwig 3.3.7
Was planning to sort of super charge this synth with modulators, but honestly backed away from that approach early on. I should've done it in Reaper. The reason being is that I felt Ragnarok really does its best when doing melodies and textures.
I only used free plugins in this production, didn't want get lost in my paid plugins, I wanted to focus my time on the synth. Interesting thing, I started this with a lot of TAL verbs and slowly replaced them all with epicVerb. Hard to move on from that plug, it's just too good and practical.
