ask brian:
info@rhizomatic.fr
i asked him about ODD MTS support
he answered, seemed interested and open about the idea (of integrating MTS)
so let's see...
would make sense with plasmonic imho...

how very weird, I had to install the demo which has the factory presets, and move it to the [normal, Audio/Presets] folder the licensed plugin sees, which def had no 'Factory Presets' subdirectory. Also no standalone installed here except for this demo one. yeah, I'm not one to try and start learning this from nowhere

Oh, that would be great if he added ODD MTS support! I sent him an email asking about native Apple Silicon support and have not heard back from him yet.muki wrote: ↑Tue Jun 01, 2021 9:20 pmask brian:

Hi guys, some time ago, I had the pleasure to be part of the Factory presets design of Plasmonic.
May be some of you could be now interested in my new bank Decoherence, a 105 presets (65 "standard" and 40 MPE), in several genres (but often for ambient, cinematic etc…). But you'll do what you want with them I guess Here 5 MPE presets playing.

Have fun with Plasmonic !

The KVR database is wrong then, it says the plugin has yet to be released. Thanks.
So a good, ol' key file. Nice.

I'm really not enjoying how the coarse and fine ranges of the sliders are different when vertical as when horizontal. I keep forgetting which is which and grab the wrong one. What possible reason would there be to have the coarse range at lower half of the slider when horizontal but have it at the upper half of the range when vertical? I just had to check which one it was to write this because I never remember. And apparently this is something that beta testers discussed before release and they went with this? I just can't see the logic.

I wrote him about that (and about a lighter GUI color scheme too) right after product launch.Echoes in the Attic wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 11:58 pm What possible reason would there be to have the coarse range at lower half of the slider when horizontal but have it at the upper half of the range when vertical?
He said it's based on the idea of decimal numbers representation, but he also said he's aware it doesn't translate too well or intuitively to vertical faders.
Take for example the decimal number "2.7"
On the left side of the decimal point you have the bigger value (coarse adjustment), and on the right you have the smaller value (fine adjustment).
And if you had to to write it vertically it would be like:
2
.
7
Since he explained that to me, it quickly changed how I look at those faders and I don't get confused anymore.
Although I would definitely prefer the classic (in my view, more intuitive) way of thinking higher value on right/up and lower value on left/down.
And I guess (then told him) it could be possibly made optional for the user.
Anyway, I've only just played with the demo, and I'll finally buy it whenever it'll come with a light theme which doesn't hurt my eyes after 2 minutes of tweaking parameters.
I know many people don't have this problem but I unfortunately do.
He wrote "I'll see what I can do about that".
