How do I set up Midi in Buzz?
First setup your midi-in and midi-out devices in Buzz (View -> Preferences). Some machines have a build-in midi controller. Check the attributes (Right Click) of those machines and set your midichannel. Other machines that don't have a build-in midicontroller can be controlled with the Cyanphase mC-1 machine. You can find it under effects in Buzz. Load the effect and connect the Generator with the mC-1. Don't connect the mC-1 to the master. Right-click the mC-1 for more instructions!

Thanks for the diagram,
Ok I'd had it wired up like that but I can't get the cc assigns worked out yet , I have been able to assign CCs
from outside midi to it , snd the sliders were jumping up and down , ...,
Look I'll get back to it in a bit and try to get it and the synth talking and the outside midi too,

Plus they're doing a special on crownies near me so I might venture that far too ;-)

I'll try it in sx and fl again aswell , there has got to be a way to open it up in them , ok so , to the online xt help for me which there is plenty of.

Talk to ya later.

How do I trigger the sequencer??

The plug's sequencer works out timing from song postion information recieved from the host. I'm not sure what hosts support/send this information to the host.

Cubase does, i've been testing cc seq inside cubase2 and exergyXT. I just tried energyXT standalone and it doesn't seem to work, and thinking about buzz, i'd be surprised if that sent song position infomation to vst instruments. Its quite a few years old now.

I'm thinking i should do some more reserch and figure out another way of calculating sequencer timing. i don't want to waste anyones time.. :)

Thanks everyone for trying this plug, but for now, hold up on the testing till i can figure this out.

I use EXT, and there doesn't seem to be anyway to trigger the plugin.

If you'd like my advice, it'd be better to give the user the ability to trigger the sequencer via a simple midi note - C3 to start, C#3 to stop perhaps - rather than getting the info from song position.

The reason is it gives more control to the user, and thats always a good thing.

Good idea for a plugin though, I really like these midi sequencing type of plugins :)

Drag.net - The end step and sync value parmeters are configured a little strangly so I don't think they will respond well to outside automation, but that can be sorted out in the future

Acolmiztli - It shouldn't be too difficult to have the sequencer triggered manually, once i figure out this timing problem.
