As a Komplete 11 owner thinking about the 13Ultimate... I hardly use NI stuff lately though I probably should as all their stuff is really good

OK I'm sold, thanks :tu:
Arkhis looks and sounds great. The concept is excellent, however, I hope they release Arkhis 2 in future with more possibilities and features including different type of sound material. Right now, even just looking at the GUI leaves a lot to be desired. Going by what you said, it might not be that useful to you, since even I was expecting it to use for non-cinematic/orchestral stuff, but it is difficult to make use of it for anything other than that. Sure, nothing is impossible, but most if not all sounds don't inspire anything other than the kind of stuff that it is intended for.

This is not to change your mind or anything. I myself have K13U CE. The Expansions alone are worth the extra $100, as already mentioned. :)

Go for K13U CE if you can. :tu:

That's a done deal, native access has been downloading intensively during the night :tu:

I've been playing a few minutes with Arkhis yesterday, and it does sound really nice, no doubt I will find some use for it.

Overall, that makes a lot of new stuff coming from K10U, so many new toys to enjoy.

I wasn't expecting Super 8, Pharlight or Straylight to be so demanding CPU-wise though. Wasn't expecting any Kontakt instrument to be demanding, actually. Guess my 2015 i7 will need some upgrade at some point :)

Anyway, no regrets, thanks all for your inputs :tu:

Straylight is probably the most CPU demanding Kontakt instrument I have, followed by Pharlight. It is even mentioned in the specs (different wordings of course) of the product pages.

Super 8 not much, but it sounds fantastic, so no worries.

I will probably find use of Arkhis in future if it gets a major update, which is very likely.

Great to know you are enjoying your new purchase. Native Access makes it really easy. Start and go to sleep, everything will be ready at your disposal in the morning. :tu:

The only thing I don't like about the update is all the email spam I've been getting since.
I just look for the ones in German, block the sender, and delete.
Still, that shouldn't be necessary or happening.

I'm just going through the new Ultimate instruments and so far I'm very impressed by Pharlight and I feel like I could play with Mysteria for ages even if I'm not sure if I would ever actually use it. Only about halfway through though.

I guess you mean the emails from KVR, right?

Well, you can sort that out in your developer favorites.

There are so many multi layered kontakt instruments out there,
..like ( bioscape lunaris WBS ORBIT and ECLIPSE etc) and loads of Rigid Audio ones,
and of course from NI .
My question is:
If you were to decide to invest in just a few -
What would be your choice?
Having many Rigid Audio ones allows for using the inc wave files interchangeably and also in other vsts. But I'm wondering what synth/kontakt instrument would allow for the best options sound design wise.
Well, it has to have a sample import and good arp/sequencer too, and 2 plus layers as well. I know about uvi falcon but since I cannot demo it to see how it handles multis.
I'm not investing it it. Hopefully Halion 7 will be just perfect when it comes out.Any other serious solutions out there? cheers.

I don't think they're from KVR.
I never got any before I updated, and I don't have any developer favorites.
They're blocked and deleted so I can't check them anymore.

You can see the sender in the mail header.

NI doesn't spam you with mails.

I just checked my inbox, I did get quite a few of them before February, but none since. Probably unsubscribed.

Yes - I know. None of them say anything about KVR.
They're all German companies, I'm in the US and have never gotten any emails from German companies until I updated to K13.
This leads me to believe that NI is selling or giving away access to emails.
Not a big deal though - I just block and delete.

In that case shouldn’t all NI customers experience this?
