Whatfor Tee-Vee thou speakest of
It wasn't me! (well, actually, it probably was) - apparently no longer an 'elderly', now a 'senior'! Is that promotion?

fruit flies are annoying ... the track is not.
not quite as "melodic" for my ears as some other pieces of you. but this should not be a criticism now. In the final part, however, I had to think about what my improvisation teacher once said to me: think about the breaks (?) / pauses, too ... maybe it would even a bit stronger if there are some. but maybe the fly is just flying around... restless, cause it is so sad... ? there are many possible interpretations
it is better to have a track with some mistakes than a track without any soul

Pauvre bête !
Very fine work, musically and technically, as usual. A complete pleasure to hear.
Best always,

yes the sad fruit fly...
according to scientists, if a male fruitfly asks a girl fruit fly to mate and she says "no", he will be depressed for a while and does not dare approach another female. I thought it was funny. as they seem to have human like characteristics.
also there is a certain girl fruit fly that WANTS to sleep with the males, but they just pretend and eat them instead.

No, not good work... Excellent workseismic1 wrote: Sun Jun 06, 2021 10:46 pm Oceanide was an excellent piece, featuring some impressive work by the pianist. Glad you were able to find somebody to play it.

Jessie, Does your pianist play strictly from the dots, or do they add extra details?

Beautiful piano music. Enjoyable melody lines with nice swinging waltz rhythm. Good composition and sounds.

you mean the harmonics in the end at about 3:56? - yes it is clearly audible.Jesse Gorter wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 7:15 pm

no the end wasn't to my liking (at the moment)- but that doesn't mean anything. for me it always depends on my mood - sometimes I do a piece that I find really great and then totally shitty for weeks - and suddenly I like it again ... every piece has its time.

Oceanide
I could finally show what I had in mind for this one. a combination between sirens and oceanide spirits, alluring and dangerous, causing all kinds of trouble. The combination between abstract art and not so abstract, really makes me happy.
Too bad people go like "ahhh it's AI", yes it's AI (not the music! sacriligious haha), but it takes creativity to make what you want
I hope you like it, otherwise, let me know also, hate it, love it, it's all good. <3 much love to you all

It was a professional, I won't do it again, too costly...seismic1 wrote: Sun Jun 06, 2021 10:46 pm Oceanide was an excellent piece, featuring some impressive work by the pianist. Glad you were able to find somebody to play it.

but I wonder how it was done, maybe he recorded left and right hand seperately, or maybe he or she is just that good.
I am now wondering how to get the same effect without having to hire a pianist, but I doubt it can be done by just midi editing....
