Awesome, cheers for the responses!:) I'll definitely give the demo a whirl and see how it pans out.
I really love Avenger and my workflow is very fast with it ( love that fat sound and the expansions are amazing) however Icarus does seem like it would make avenger and rapid more interesting if combining all 3 in my tracks

Nice!! Cheers Fidox, the sounds on icarus are exactly the depth I'm looking for. Reminds me of the sounds in newer avenger packs but slightly deeper. Will get on the demo asap!fidox wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 6:21 pmNice!!DJJD2021 wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 5:07 pm Out of curiosity guys which genre would you say this synth suits most? I have avanger and rapid that I'm very satisfied with so just wanted to know how this would fit into psy edm, hard dance / big room. Thanks!
For me personal, Icarus 2 is much better than Avenger.
It gives me a lot more creativity and fresh ideas.
Ofcourse, most styles you mentioned.
Probably for Hard dance other Tone 2 synths.
For fun, you can check here, but I didn't own Icarus 2 that time, those are short demo tracks, which were produced for Tone 2 company, as they are, no additional mastering, just sounds from synths and 3rd party (drum, hi-hats)
There are mixed synths from Tone 2.
and here just Icarus 1 :
I really love the avenger and nexus psy stuff though, not heard a synth with better expansions in the psy edm realm but icarus has really peaked my interest.
Rapid I enjoy for more tropical / flute and trance sounds, extremely clean and great for risers and drops

For risers you can't go wrong with The Riser from Air Music Technology.

Yes absolutely! Love the air music technology stuff, some good stuff on W.A samples too but i've noticed samples from W.A tend to be overused a littlefidox wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 6:40 pmThanks !DJJD2021 wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 6:34 pm Nice!! Been testing Icarus 2 for the past day and even though it sounds nice i'm just not clicking with it like Rapid or Avenger. Also, soundwise it has good depth but still prefer Avenger. I quess i'll stick to clean sounds with Rapid and more experimental/analog stuff with avenger. But for sure, if I didn't have either I could very well have bought this!

If you want some convincing, Tone2 never removed the link that allows a 50% sale of Icarus2. You can get it at 99$ US if you're interested:starflakeprj wrote: Sun Jun 06, 2021 2:59 pmEven if it does hurt your wallet temporarily, in the long run it doesn't hurt do have them allDJJD2021 wrote: Sun Jun 06, 2021 1:48 pm Been testing Icarus 2 for the past day and even though it sounds nice i'm just not clicking with it like Rapid or Avenger. Also, what is with the "Backup Media"? I wouldn't need that, if downloads in the future were available, right?

Still waiting for a convincing sale to upgrade from 1 to 2 here. Fortunately competition is good enough to keep me busy in between.

The link is an official one from last year Black Friday. Whether they forgot to remove or it's there on purpose, I don't know, but it's an official one. And you don't need the backup, waste of money.Dirtgrain wrote: Mon Jun 07, 2021 12:27 am Also, what is with the "Backup Media"? I wouldn't need that, if downloads in the future were available, right?

Is it popping up at $99 for you? I can see the sale but seems to show $159 for me here in the UK. Is there like a code or something? Cheers in advanceRyan99 wrote: Mon Jun 07, 2021 12:37 amThe link is an official one from last year Black Friday. I must admit I never upgraded as it is $90 for a version 1 to Version 2 upgrade is just too much.
