Atlas Atlas 2

Post

Atlas isn’t perfect but even so it’s been a huge speed up for me - sure, sometime when you randomize a drum kit, you’ll end up with a loop in a slot or two. But with decent source material that’s pretty rare and I just re-roll it. May not work for everyone but I am looking forward to the update (hopefully soon :)... not sure I need the sequencer but just the ability to pull several drums out to drum rack at once will be useful... along with automation of parameters...

Looks brilliant.

I wish XO would update, I’m beginning to think I may have backed the wrong horse!
Same feelings. Although I am still hopeful that XO will be back with a bang, at least after seeing Atlas 2, in which case we would probably have to wait for one more year and by then we might see Atlas 3. Guess you are right.

You never know- XO could have been worked on in parallel...but if it is it would be good for XLN to let people know it is still being developed (if it is) and this may be the incentive!

Any idea how many patterns the new Atlas will have and how those are triggered?

It does seem to be "XO plus all the stuff you've been hoping XO would be updated to do" so kudos to the Atlas folks for stepping in to fill that void.

Agree. At least I have been trying to push this message (updates to XO) to them somehow via support and Instagram. Hopefully there will be XO 1.5 or 2.0 soon.

Until then it seems Atlas 2 will get all the limelight it probably deserves.

Chad says ‘Wot no PayPal?’

Post

Needs account for trial version? No, thanks. No mention of that on the website.
Installed trial, asks for authorization, can't see a way to enter trial mode. Uninstalled and deleted.

I bought the original via paypal, now I cannot upgrade. :?

Matt, the developer of Atlas, has just answered me that he will look into putting back the paypal option tomorrow. In the meantime, the trial version of Atlas 2 would be the way to go.

There are some really cool services that you can use to mask your bank account or debit card with
virtual credit cards. They offer excellent protection and even pay you to use them. Not to mention
they don't have paypals fees. These are invaluable imo.

just sayin...

Does somebody have a problem with activating a demo version? For some reason it says that I've already used my trial period.

Edit: everything is working fine now.
