Apart from some other (partially nice) samples, there's quite some good drum-ish/percussive stuff at www.waveform.dk as well.

Those who can do maths and those who can't.

the soundfonts of that page are sadly made buggy/wrong ...it doesn't sound at all ..--start shameless self ad---

I've checked with Vienna:
snare for example mapped in sf2 is "no " sound (like a "bzz"),but when i opened in the wave editor i heard the snare sample is there ..i guess its the sf2 not good made..
Great samples tough!!,if the demos there are realized with that.Is it possible to fix them?8strange you did'nt check before to up)
ps:sorry i'm new here,i came here as i was searching
free samples on the net for the drum, and i found that forum!! Great!

This is a known problem. They were checked but only in a few apps using conversion and they worked. Seems like most people have problems with the sound font versions..i guess its the sf2 not good made..

I'm afraid I can't do much about it as I don't have the tools to make them better.

This is cool to see all these drum samples.
Does anyone have an acoustic drumset that they could sample?
Maybe you could use something like a shure sm57 and sample just the snare, kick and hi hats for us.
That would be cool if someone could do that. When used in a sampler you could write stuff that sounds like a real drummer.

If they're a significant improvement we'll add them to the official site as well if you want.
There are other community made addons/improvements as well.
This is exactly what was done with NS_Kit and Kingston Drums. The links were provided earlier in the thread. Listen to the demos and see the manuals.Does anyone have an acoustic drumset that they could sample?

If you want to know about the latest incarnations of this technique, read up on BFD and DKFH Superior.

remember that the Easyrider kit is in 48khz/24bit format. You'll first have to convert it to 44.1khz/16bit for sound fonts.rpc9943 wrote:okay I'll try maybe tonight to load the other formats and try to convert it over to sf2
