I have an i9 and the ircam oscillators still run up cpu pretty easily. I have no idea how the mangle was so efficient in its granular features without need anywhere near the same level if cpu.kvotchin wrote: Sat Jun 05, 2021 9:29 am Audio input would be very much welcome, agreed. And seconding UI/workflow improvements in general.
Also, is there any way to make IRCAM Stretch usable for those without next-gen supercomputers (presumably) ... ?

Well, there it is then. I “only” have an i7 (4C/8T) and it’s not the current gen. *shrug*
Also running on SSDs only - good ones at that. Plenty of RAM. Decent GPU, etc.
I’m quite curious as to what specs are required for IRCAM Stretch.

The standalone versions of the workstation and Falcon are opening much faster with the newest versions.

As we don't have a dedicated UVI Forum here I thought I post it in this thread.
Except for the drums the entire song was made with the UVI Workstation.
The strummed guitar and bass are Acoustic Samples libraries, the piano is the Ravenscroft and the two lead melodies were done with UVI's own World Suite 2.

I wish they would integrate Acoustic Samples' fantastic strumming engine into Falcon as they did with their rotary effect.

Anyone has any info on the usage of the Script Event Modulation source?
It's missing from the manual.

It's used for sending per-event modulation from scripts. You can see an example implementation in Falcon's MPE script.

So in layman terms, does it mean that if I assign a SEM to a modulable target, I can use a script to generate the modulation curve?

Exactly.

Now, that is quite something
I'm getting slowly into the scripting docs, which could use some more tutorials, especially regarding the DOM/accessing entities via scripting.
I couldn't yet figure if it's possible to read current modulation data from modulation sources?
The idea being to, for example, read two (or more) modulators (an ADSR and a LFO for example) do some math with them (mult, min, max etc) and export the result as a modulator (this last part you just revealed to be possible).

I don't think you can get the output of modulators inside UVIScript, no.

Got it.
That would be great, would allow for the combination of modulators with few lines of scripting.
Still, some nice possibilities to be explored.

I've been totally out of the loop. What's the upgrade cost from the original Falcon to this version?
Thanks.
Thanks.

If you mean from v1 to v2, it is free, or at least it was.wagtunes wrote: Sun Jun 13, 2021 12:27 am I've been totally out of the loop. What's the upgrade cost from the original Falcon to this version?
