Yes, the increments are fine for me and 3 would definitely be way too big - if you need a track blown up to (almost) full screen the double-tapping Z (Ableton style) should be the way to go. I wish it also went up to disabling "Enable Large Track Height" when reducing the lowest height further and enabled "Enable Large Track Height" whn it's in that mode and one's trying to increase height. That would feel very natural, to me at least. Now it requires 2 separate shortcuts.pdxindy wrote: Fri Jun 11, 2021 6:50 pmI just sent a feature suggestion to Bitwig saying I would like the increments bigger. 1 = 3 was my suggestion. Have you tried it yet?

I wonder if it is different for different platforms or screens?antic604 wrote: Fri Jun 11, 2021 7:04 pmYes, the increments are fine for me and 3 would definitely be way too big - if you need a track blown up to (almost) full screen the double-tapping Z (Ableton style) should be the way to go.pdxindy wrote: Fri Jun 11, 2021 6:50 pmI just sent a feature suggestion to Bitwig saying I would like the increments bigger. 1 = 3 was my suggestion. On my MBP, if I want to go from default to where it shows the stereo waveforms, I have to hit the command 3 times. (thus my 3 to 1 ratio)
Out of curiosity since you mentioned it, I wondered how many it would be to reach full track height... 29 repeats of the key command

19 with the device panel showing up. But you can hold the shotcut, so no need to tap it x times.pdxindy wrote: Fri Jun 11, 2021 7:50 pmOut of curiosity since you mentioned it, I wondered how many it would be to reach full track height... 29 repeats of the key command![]()

Definitely sprung out the party hat prematurelypdxindy wrote: Fri Jun 11, 2021 6:33 pmHave you tried it? It is only a key command to incrementally make all track heights bigger and another for smaller. The increments are small, so it takes multiple repeats and it does not include a vertical zoom to fit or by selection.PieBerger wrote: Fri Jun 11, 2021 5:04 pm Changes in Bitwig Studio 4.0, Beta 4 [released 11 June 2021]

Man, I really want to get into Bitwig. I think the release of Bitwig 4 here might finally push me to make the plunge.
I really want to play around with the cross-DAW project loading, see how convenient/inconvenient it is jumping between FL/Ableton and Bitwig.

And it's on sale right now (don't mind the v3 on the box):Qqq_7 wrote: Tue Jun 15, 2021 8:25 pmMan, I really want to get into Bitwig. I think the release of Bitwig 4 here might finally push me to make the plunge.

Unfortunately, it's not much use, if like me you use racks for everything; all of my synths and plugins are racked and macro'd up for easy hands on control with my Push 2 and for quite understandable technical reasons, Bitwig can't bring these over from ALS files during conversion. YMMV.Qqq_7 wrote: Tue Jun 15, 2021 8:25 pm I really want to play around with the cross-DAW project loading, see how convenient/inconvenient it is jumping between FL/Ableton and Bitwig.

I wouldn't be surprised if when it's a simple VST (or native Live synth) with pre-mapped macros they'll eventually handle it via Macro modulators and Remote pages.PieBerger wrote: Wed Jun 16, 2021 6:19 amUnfortunately, it's not much use, if like me you use racks for everything; all of my synths and plugins are racked and macro'd up for easy hands on control with my Push 2 and for quite understandable technical reasons, Bitwig can't bring these over from ALS files during conversion. Still, obviously I would't get Bitwig under the assumption that it will load Live projects. It's a bonus feature.

I don't think it's entirely out of the question, just a lot more development work, especially considering how deep you can go with rack nesting.antic604 wrote: Wed Jun 16, 2021 8:34 amI wouldn't be surprised if when it's a simple VST (or native Live synth) with pre-mapped macros they'll eventually handle it via Macro modulators and Remote pages.PieBerger wrote: Wed Jun 16, 2021 6:19 amUnfortunately, it's not much use, if like me you use racks for everything; all of my synths and plugins are racked and macro'd up for easy hands on control with my Push 2 and for quite understandable technical reasons, Bitwig can't bring these over from ALS files during conversion. Live is far more prolific than Bitwig and if collaboration (with Live projects) is your thing, you may be better of owning Live as well...I cant personally see any reason why I would want to work on a Live project in Bitwig (if I owned Live) and I cant really see how it would help people move old projects across if they wanted to swap completely, but it does let you access the hardware stuff that is using Live Project Files...Bitwig is tapping in to Live's existing ecosystem.
X32 and 24C mixers, S88MK3, Live + PUSH 3, Osmose, RedShift 6, Pro3, S4, Tempera, Syntakt, Digitone, OP1-F, OPXY, TR-1000, Eurorack, TD27 Drums, Guitars, Basses, Amps and of course lots of pedals!

Not to mention you can't load Bitwig's projects in Live and I doubt Ableton will be rushing to join Claes' universal DAW file format initiative: https://github.com/bitwig/dawprojectSLiC wrote: Wed Jun 16, 2021 9:04 amI cant personally see any reason why I would want to work on a Live project in Bitwig (if I owned Live)
