imo phoenix and nimbus are great reverbs for natural 'space' and 'air' but i agree not for big lush reverbs. R2 is much better for that. cheers

will worry about big and lush,when deal with clean and transparent 
There is a free one called giant verb,which seems good for ambient stuff.
Never been fan of huge reverb around,kind of losing instruments under it,to my taste modern mixes become 'faceless' as instrumental definition cause of too much compression and reverb,losing original instrumental dynamic
