Have you ever heard a song and thought it was by an imitator, but it turned out to be the actual artist?
For example, I remember about 20 years ago listening to this song and thinking the guitar player was a total Carlos Santana wannabee. Turns out that song was "Smooth".
Likewise, I remember hearing this song on the radio about 10 years ago, thinking I wasn't really digging it but damn, the guy really did a good job of nailing George Harrison's slide playing. That was George's last single.
Or I was scrolling through channels and some station was playing footage of some concert. I wondered why Nickelback was playing "Simple Kind of Man". Well, this was whoever was left from Lynyrd Skynyrd.

I know I've had that experience, but it's hard to recall. I do remember hearing Steven Tyler's voice and not recognizing it, as it was nothing like his voice when he was younger.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.
