Seems like I was a pretty good little consumer this year (by my standards anyway). This is what I've bought so far this year.
Live4
Stylus RMX
Reaktor
A new Strat
PodXT
FL Producer edition
Smokers Delight (sample CD)
Sonic Refill
I'm wondering what made you guys whip out your money so fast you got a papercut.....

Wusikstation...but I hope before the end of the year I can sell off my hardware rack of synths and pick up a workstation and tuition money. Right now I am leaning twords the Roland Fantom line
Then next year spend all my hobby money on VSTs!

GR-33 guitar synth
Mandolin
Bouzouki
Acoustic bass guitar
Pod II + FB4 controller and mounting bracket.
A spare Zoom 9050 for less than 1/10th the price I paid for my other one 12 years ago.
Casio VZ-8M synth - 80s goodness!
MFB SynthLite - microscopically small analog (stylee) fun and knob twiddlage.
A shitload of fx pedals.
Sonar 4PE upgrade.
Apart from Sonar that lot was all from ebay. Damn you ebay! I can resist anything but temptation!

Steve.
I know I have got a negative edge, that’s why I sharpen all the others a lot.

I bought into the Sonic Synth Group Buy. I forget exactly when I bought it, but if memory serves in 2004 I also bought Massiva/EnergyXT. I think I bought DR-008 last year, but can't remember for sure (whenever it dropped to $99 is when I got it - anyone with a better memory than me will be able to confirm this...).
I am very likely to be tempted into upgrading to Sonic Synth 2 before the end of the year. I just need to finish doing the financial maths first before I make my final decision.

EnergyXT
Wusikstation
Kubik
Have been my purchases so far.
By the end of the year I'll have:
SampleTank 2
The mega drums group buy package at eSoundz (Quick guys take a look, it's a once in a lifetime!)
Sonik Synth 2
Have I been tempted by anything I haven't bought (yet)?
M42 Nebula (I just don't need it but it's neato)
Revitar2 (I'm looking at it - not sure if it's what I need)
RealGuitar - this is seriously nice but tools like this make me wonder what to do with my current guitar samples. Quite tempted.
All the soundsets that have come out for Wusikstation - I will be getting them but probably not until early next year
New music computer - early next year is the target
Accoustic/Electric/Bass Sonic Capsule set at eSoundz - still thinking about this - maybe next year.
Just for the hell of it I'll name the freeware synths that got me interested, enticed a download, and received a nod of approval and at least a temporary place in my synth lineup. Doesn't include any I was already using before this year of course.
String Theory
Some of the killerz
SuperwaveP8
MrRay
Organized Trio
Ensembler
sfz
A tonne of VST midi plug-ins
Caleb
Wusikstation
Kubik

But, but.... that's a lot
Fizmo-behringer tube-behringer comp-sony dat-4track-tapedelay, DS1 and waiting next to the mail box for the metasonix TM1
Soft it would be Z3ta, M42, Spectrumworx, melohman, quad F, Astrobelt-bundle, and waiting for the Zebra.
No wonder my wallet hurts
Wait a second.....
This was what I was temped to buy ....
oh
That list is even longer
