Hello
I need to know if it is possible to keep my Win 10 midi drivers from being released when going into sleep mode.
I am very tired sometimes and like to keep my DAW always on for sketching etc. I have been doing this for years without issues by just waking from sleep.
But the only thing is with the midi driver and I have to go in my DAW config panel to reset midi everytime.
I have tried everything even every option combination in the power managemt mode.
Is there perhaps a 3rd pary midi driver available that might behave better than the stock Win driver? I think it is baked into the system but just want to check here. Otherwise a registry hack maybe?
Thanks

Hm does the midi driver have any powersave properties like "let this go to sleep" on Device manager->midi device properties?

you know, i have been having the same difficulties with my blofeld. it was due to an update at the end of the year last year some time. It does things differently now, and I'll occasionally lose midi.

I finally found it. It's in the device manager under USB root hub (3.0). Need to login as admin and unselect power saving mode. Very happy about this!
