Hi,

I'm looking for some kind of solution for controlling music player wirelessly on live gigs (Winamp, AIMP - as long as it plays music and does the job it doesn't matter). Sometimes I'm far from the computer - when we don't play music (dinner/breaks etc) and want to change track or change volume without running to the notebook :).
Yesterday I was looking on the Google Play and found AIMP Remote Control. But unfortunately it requires access point. I don't want to bring additional routers or tangle things.
Maybe there is some solution to control music player through WiFi Direct, BT or even there are external dedicaded devices to do so (some kind of small enough remote controller)?
I'm using right now simple netbook (N2600, 2 GB RAM, Win7, SSD 128GB) through Yamaha MOX (as audio interface), but could use something better, even linux-based OS as long as it does the job and will work flawlessly.
Many thanks for all advices!

You can't use your phone to play music via Bluetooth? You might need a BT dongle but that's the simplest solution I can think of.
NOVAkILL : Legion GO, AMD Z1x, 16GB RAM, Win11 | Audient EVO 8 | Lumi Keys | Studio Pro 8
Korg Odyssey, bx-oberhausen, Proxima, PolyMax, GR8, JP6K, Union, Atomika,
Invader 2, Flow Motion, Olga, TRK 01, Thorn, Spire, VG Iron

I'm playing on the weedings, all the music comes out of instrument (working as audio interface). BT is not so good when it comes to quality, plus I'm sometimes far from the gear so I'd like to control the music, not play it through BT :).
