i think you can still get a one time 50% off code if you upload a song where you use or some of their vsts. it stacks with the volume bonus and i think it semi stacked with the sale. I almost bought like most of their catalogue but then i ended up getting nothing. their tools as single purchases are quite pricey. but they are worth it imho.

I think serum's filters could use a an upgrade, surely with the new m1 chips cpu won't be a factor and it could be toggled in the main menu or something. Would this be called oversampling, to extend the frequency response of the filter? Or the filter just needs to be remodeled?

There is one called "Fat" - Im not at my studio now to check, but its free and really awsome. from what I remember it was moddeld after the moog filters. (although cant confirm) - I use that a lot, in fact always on transitions!.

$79 is quite steep for such a basic filter imo.gExpectations wrote: Mon Jun 28, 2021 10:29 pmI actually ment none of both, i ment goodhertz LOL. my brain got jumbled. this one: https://goodhertz.co/lohi/ definitely worth a demo.Spring Goose wrote: Mon Jun 28, 2021 8:51 pmYou mean Kilohearts?gExpectations wrote: Mon Jun 28, 2021 6:19 pm I like the Gigaheartz simple filter but I don't know if it does exactly what you want. I like Tone2 BiFilter 2, it's my go to filter, it has tons of filter types and can be purchased for the price of a magazine (CM).
The filter from Waldorf's Edition LE is also great sounding.
Another good one will be the filter in NI's Driver distortion plugin, it sounds amazing but i suspect it adds some things to the sound other than pure filtering when you start crancking up the resonance (even with the distortion turned all the way down), I don't mind though, it's great for creative purposes.

Soundtoys seem to have some pretty great filters in filter freak 1 and 2. Besides that OneFilter from waves is pretty versatile as well

Which would generally get you close to a Moog but not necessarily close to whatever the much discussed quirks of a TB 303 actually are (no I don't claim to know what those quirks are, some claim it's mismatched poles while some claim there's a HP filter in there somehow and possibly it's a special ladder desing using cheap components and people get crazy when anyone starts mentioning overdrive which some think is an intergral part of the sound).ferez21 wrote: Thu Jul 01, 2021 3:56 pm If you're looking for 303 type filter, you should be searching for a Ladder type filter.

Actually, Kilohearts does have a diode ladder filter and out of curiosity, I have run it through Plugin Doctor with both frequency and resonance turned to the highest value. Here is the result:

Now, I admit that all my "knowledge" about cramping is based on one Dan Worrall video - but this seems fine, right?
